I am bummed. I talked to the VA earlier in the week and she assured me we could have someone come in an shower hubby three days a week. I told her we didn't qualify but she said we could have the shower help and 30 days a year respite care. We got it all set up, the agency would call me within the week and she even took my order for depends and shields. Yesterday afternoon she called and said we didn't qualify. The dept. of Health and Services called her and said not to put the order through. I guess only some people have access to our financial information. They kept telling me we could have the above services regardless of financial need. I don't know what possessed me to think she was right.

I threw my back out last Thursday and went to Dr. Friday. I think it is from lifting hubby's legs up several times a day to get him dressed and undressed. He weights 218 so he is no light weight. I do feel somewhat better. I had to quit taking the flexeral. It was making me shake and feel anxious.

Yesterday was a bust. I signed up to take the Mask-erade class and I love it. I haven't been able to do any of the homework all week and after I saw the class yesterday I went to the store and got some freezer paper to make masks. Got home and fixed lunch and was ready to stamp. Our son called and needed us to come up there (they have their house on the market) and needed some help. When I got back I had several more things calling my name. Then it was dinner time. The day completely got away from me. This card today is a grad card that I will probably remake. I was trying to get caught up with cards but I'm not crazy about this. I only colored the footwear and the one green tassel. The green and white  are her school colors. There just hasn't been time to do much. May and June are always such busy months for us so I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Be kind to one another.

I would like to welcome my newest follower, Kathy. Her blog is and she is making some beautiful cards on her blog so you might want to pop in and say "hi".

I'm so glad to know I'm not alone with my disease. It must be spread by internet connections. It turns out the only cure is to stay off the blogs and Pinterest so I guess this will be a chronic disease.  We are all in this together.

Our meeting with the atty. went very well and I am starting to implement his plan for our long term. I would tell anyone as a caregiver of a spouse with dementia or alz.  to talk to an elder care atty. early in the disease to see what your options are. It is different in each state and the atty. will know what is the best course for your situation. I sincerely hope none of you ever have to take this advice.

I went to Pinterest (where my disease started) and looked for minions. I decided to make a minion card for my grandson's birthday instead of the Go On and Celebrate card. This is more of a boy card and he does love the movie Despicable Me. It is scraps and a Simon Says Balloon die.  The sentiment is SU. Be kind to one another.

I have a terrible disease known as "wannamake em all". It has invaded my body and causes me to want to make every single card I see on Pinterest and blogs. Everyone in blogland has so much talent and imagination for cardmaking. In my case folder are so many beautiful cards that I wanna make. I think it is a sickness. I don't need all those cards and don't have time to make them, but I dream about them at night. This is not good. Guess I need to make an appointment with a specialist that deals with this type of disease. The card I have today is from my SU demo. No it is not my birthday now. I love this blackberry color and I love this card. Be kind to one another.

It sure turned chilly today. Today is our 48th wedding anniversary. The time has really gone by fast and yet it seems like such a short time ago. Where do the years go.

Todays card is for my youngest grandsons birthday. I watched a video by Jennifer McGuire that showed how to stamp over the original and pop up the sentiment over it. It's called spotlight die cutting and was posted on April 10th on her blog I had the Bazzill kraft foil paper and loved how the card was done. I think it's a good card for male or female at any age. Anytime I see a card made with supplies I already have, I'm all over that. I don't have much imagination so I always need a push in the right direction. Then I see or get an idea or just copy it outright! Which I did in this case - pun intended. Be kind to one another.

Happy Mother's Day to all of the mothers that celebrate today.

What a beautiful day we had here today. Sunny skies, one quick shower and that was it. And when I say quick it was like under 2 minutes of rain and done! Got up yesterday to several inches of water on the kitchen floor and under the sink cabinet. I think the dishwasher leaked but it must be the hose under the sink. The water wasn't in front of the dishwasher. I didn't have time to fool with it today so tomorrow I will start it and stop it and see if that is it.  Guess I will call a plumber.

My sister in law gave me this stamp set from SU called Definitely Decorative Daisy that is from 2000. I always loved it but never bought it. She was purging a lot of her things and gave it to me. This is the card I made to thank her. Be kind to one another.

My heart goes out to all of those people who have been in the outbreak of tornadoes all across the country. That is something we have no control over and they do scare me. We have had them here in our state forever. My mom used to scare me when there was one coming. We had to run to the basement. Half of the basement was a tall wall where the coal was put in through a chute and it always was dark, dirty and smelly. I don't know if I was more afraid of the storm or the basement! But I worry no matter where the storms are for everyone.

Todays card is so far out of my comfort zone. I worked on it for several days. It was inspired by Laura Bassen of https://laurafadora. It really wasn't hard at all and I'm glad I tried it. After it was all finished, I stamped the happy birthday on the front and pushed too hard and it stamped double. That is why there is a banner on the front. This is for my granddaughter who loves all animals and I think she will like all the different ones. I used a Simon Says Tri Squares die and Lawn Fawn stamps from different sets. The happy birthday is Avery Elle and paper is SU. Be kind to one another.

I'm entering this into the challenge at

where the colors are orange, turquoise, white and black for their 4th birthday. Happy birthday to you!

It has been a busy weekend and I'm getting behind.  Our meeting with the atty. went well. He is very knowledgeable and had a lot of ideas for us at each stage we will be needing. I am relieved to have an advocate to take care of these things. Our sons thought well of him too and I value their opinion because they are out in the business world talking to all kinds of people. I was so nervous going in and now feel so much better that I will be in good hands as we go through this. I took the bull by the horns and called the VA again. I am nothing if not persistent. They are going to send someone out to shower hubby several days a week. That helps not only to clean him up but saves an extra load of  my clothes being washed every day and while they are doing that, I can clean the other bathroom and it will all be done. You can also order sanitary products by the month for $9. That, too, is a blessing.  Any more time I can keep him home is wonderful for him. It is an up and down disease and we are learning to roll with it. It's like being at an amusement park but not having fun! Up and down but screaming.

This card today I am showing you is from a wonderful friend that you all know. She is Darnell of www.djkardkreations and she sent a card that cheered me up so much just when I needed it. I don't think people that don't make cards realize how much a card for no special reason lifts you up. You expect you will get cards from people on your birthday and Christmas and other holidays. But just to get one is such a blessing. Thank you Darnell. It was a hug in an envelope that made me cry. I love that we are all really blog "friends" and care about each other. I will never get to meet most of you in person but I feel like I "know" you. I pray for those that need help and think of them all the time. There is always room in your heart for new friends This card is truly stunning. The cardstock is the most beautiful color and the flowers are embossed and I think wink of stella to make them shine. The greeting is embossed in white and it is just beautiful. I am off to get something done today. We have wonderful sunshine and warm temps. and it is a lovely day. Be kind to one another.
